Construction Foreperson - Environmental

  • Carries out specific tasks per project requirements and to achieve project goals.

  • Ensures that all responsibilities are conducted in a prudent and ethical manner.

  • Directs the completion of the task within given time frames. Instills a Sense of Urgency with field personnel for timely job completion.

  • Turns in to the Supervisor required paperwork timely.

  • Ensures the Safety and Quality of the Job.

  • Carries competent person and other appropriate certification cards at all times.

  • Will be required to work long hours in order to meet scheduled deadlines before/after normal 8-hour workday and weekends.

  • Responsible for following policies and procedures in the field within the scope of the employee handbook.

  • Have the ability to operate small hand tools and equipment in a safe and proper manner.

  • Operate company vehicles and equipment.

  • Maintains positive verbal and written communication with owner representatives.

  • Prepares accurate daily job logs in a timely fashion. Reviews the DJL s submitted by layouts training underneath them.

  • To direct and ensure work is built to specification and documented in redlines.

  • Post completion walk-thru prior to substantial completion

  • Maintain construction photo log.

  • Orders materials from the approved source of supply and identify necessary changes or additions.

  • Confirm Miss. Utility marks out and identifies potential conflicts.

  • Request remark and revisions to the ticket if required.

  • Document existing conditions of utilities present.

  • Ensuring proper excavations procedures followed (i.e. test pitting).

  • Complete and/or confirm daily E&S checks and corrections are documented.

  • Conduct safety meetings, daily QAQC hazard analysis meetings, inspections/compliance, and documentation. For example:

  • Toolbox talks

  • QA QC hazard analysis and safety meetings with all appropriate signatures documented.

  • Competent person, operator cards are present.

  • To receive and review soil inspections, and trench safety reports daily when applicable.

  • To receive and review completed daily equipment inspections reports.

  • Certificates and training must be obtained and are required for typical areas of work, such as but not limited to:

  • E&S green card, yellow card, and blue card

  • Maintenance of traffic

  • Responsible land disturber

  • First Aid, CPR

  • Trench safety, confined space

  • OSHA 10, 20, 30, 40 hours

  • Completed all testing related to the Layout Foreman manual

  • Others as required.


  • Valid driver license and the ability to maintain properly and drive the EQR provided vehicle.

  • Have the ability to safely operate large on-road vehicles with trailer.

  • Meet DOT physical requirements

  • Pass EQR s driving test.

  • The ability to perform required pre/post trip inspections.

  • Have the ability to operate equipment such as track truck, skid steer, and mini excavator.

  • Complete equipment checklists, or to ensure checklists are completed by the crew.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to follow verbal and written instructions

  • Ability to operate layout equipment

  • Read, understand, and implement project documents (both internal and external)

  • It is the responsibility of the employee to maintain, track and return all tools and equipment assigned to them.

  • Must have and display the ability to lead crews to complete an assigned task.

  • Must have the ability to communicate human resource information to production manager and crew members in an appropriate and timely manner.

  • Wears all the proper PPE and works with the crews to ensure 100% compliance with their sites.

  • Physical requirements include sitting (riding to the job) (5%), standing, walking and lifting materials or equipment (95%). This position requires manual dexterity of the hands and bending and twisting associated with heavy lifting. This position requires lifting heavy materials and equipment and often requires working outside in the elements in all seasons and weather conditions. The body senses of sight (not color blind), hearing (safety), and verbal communication is required.

  • Must be able to lift and carry 80 lbs.

  • The language is English in speech and is used in all drawings. This position must have the ability to comprehend and convey instructions in a clear manner to other field personnel, clients and superiors.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
