Activity Aides

Mary T. Inc. Maryland, a provider of residential and vocational services for individuals with traumatic brain injury, has full time Activity Aide positions at our day program. This full-time position is 9 a.m. -3 p.m. or 8 a.m. -4 p.m. Monday to Friday based in our adult day program in Millersville.
As an Activity Aide you will organize activity programs at the community level for the individuals we serve. The position includes organizing and participating in daily leisure activity programs, including working with individuals and facilitating small and large groups.

Strong verbal/written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
At least one year experience in conducting group activities, or similar.
Empathetic nature and a keen interest in people.
Must be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma.
Valid drivers' license and a good driving record.
Ability to pass a background check.
Must have a compassion for and desire to work with persons with a traumatic brain injury.
Ability to communicate effectively with consumers, families, and team members.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
