HVAC Boiler Mechanic - Journeyman (Union) - Federal Division

Job Description:
What you will do Under general supervision, maintain boiler operations, with special responsibility in service and maintenance of equipment and installation.
Location: Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland (military experience not required).
All work is at this location.
Company vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and all necessary tools are provided Union: Local 486 Pay: Journeyman Rate - $39.
20 per hour How you will do it 1.
Troubleshoot, and/or make repairs on gas and fuel pressure lines, boilers, heaters, pumps, compressors, motors, controllers, reducing station, heat exchangers.
Direct boiler work such as tube, header and brickwork, casing work and flue work.
Install heating system equipment as required.
Prepare and maintain preventative maintenance records.
Cooperate and work with inspectors, as required.
Operate boilers and controls.
Operation and repair of equipment as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned, such as chiller preventative maintenance.
What we look for Required 1.
Five (5) or more years' experience working with preventative and corrective maintenance of boilers.
Knowledge of boiler codes and safety standards 3.
Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities of this job.
Valid driver's license.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and any other worksite specific badges.
(This will involve a background/character, work experience, education, financial/credit and a criminal history records check).
Citizenship is required.
Must have basic computer skills 8.
Ability to work with others.
Preferred: 1.
Current member of Local Union 486.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
