This individual will be working next to one of the owners of the company to help with a myriad of computer and math-related items.
Fast learner on a computer is a big plus.
Previous work in the home improvement or construction background a big plus.
This position can be worked remotely.
The position For the first 90 days(Paid training) will be part time to determine if this is a good fit with our company.
Once the 90 days are up you may be offered full time Salary w/benefits.
The Bookkeeper is responsible for recording the company's financial accounts and records.
Their duties include checking accounting records for accuracy, tracking invoices and payments, and maintaining a system for organizing company documents.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Entering data, maintaining records, and creating reports and financial statements.
Completing bank and credit card reconciliation processes on a daily basis.
Monitor Account payables and company bills.
Manage draw requests, certificate of payments, subcontractor insurance compliance Utilize Quickbooks for subcontractor and vendor payments Maintain all 1099 contractor records, including obtaining/maintaining current W- 9 forms and proof of insurance annually.
Prepare and post all bank deposits.
Sort, code and enter accounts payable data.
Basic construction accounting requirements for A/P, A/R, G/L, P/R and Job Costing.
Maintain vendor files.
Timely pay invoices.
Treat all information and data as confidential.
Be willing to take on other roles & duties within the office, if and when necessary or assigned Required Skills/Abilities:
3+years experience in Quickbooks 3+years experience working in the construction industry Strong computer skills working with Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Word Ability to work independently and with other team members Great verbal and written communication skills If you are a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in bookkeeping and a passion for numbers, we would love to hear from you.
