We are seeking individuals with strong interpersonal communication skills, the ability to think outside of the box, and individuals whom are teamwork oriented and looking to work in the demanding, but highly rewarding, field of Special Education.
We are looking to fill TWO (2) immediate hire positions as Behavioral Support Specialists/1-1 Aides.
These positions are direct fill positions which will allow for immediate start after fulfilling the necessary background checks.
Job Essentials:
Assist teaching team with student behaviors throughout the school day, provide 1-1 instructional supports (basic interventions to help them complete work, stay on task, etc.
), aid the student in daily functions such as checking into the program, participating in daily academics, escorting around the program, and dismissal.
Work directly to support an individual student's academic and behavioral needs based on his/her Individual Education Plan (IEP), as well as other individualized contracts/interventions.
Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives and meeting IEP goals.
Provides, under the supervision of assigned teacher, instruction to the student in a variety of individual and group activities for the purpose of reinforcing instructional objectives; implementing IEP plans; and ensuring the student's access to his/her least restrictive environment.
Required to be willing and able to work with students whom require individual behavioral supports which could require physical intervention which may include periods of standing/sitting/kneeling; escorting students to a safe location during a behavioral event; lifting, carrying, pulling, or holding weights from 40 pounds and up.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
